Instapage free trial: what you get in 14 days, and what it costs after

By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · Instapage Reviews · Updated September 28, 2026 · Checked against instapage.com/plans and Instapage's help center

Quick verdict

Instapage has no free plan. It offers a 14-day free trial of the Create and Optimize plans with full access to that plan's features. You need a credit card to start, the trial is capped at 2,500 unique visitors, and the card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel.

It is a fair way to test Instapage on one real campaign. Set a reminder for day 12, and don't send more traffic than the cap allows, because passing 2,500 visitors ends the trial early and starts billing.

Which plan to pick for the Instapage trial

Pick Optimize if A/B testing or dynamic text replacement is the reason you're looking at Instapage, since Create includes neither. Pick Create if you mainly need a fast builder and a way for teammates or clients to comment on pages. Instapage says you can buy any plan after the trial, whichever one you tested. The paid plans are metered by monthly visitors, so check your traffic against the limits on our Instapage pricing page before you choose.

How to get the most from 14 days with Instapage

  • Set a calendar reminder for day 12. The trial bills on its own, and a reminder of your own gives you time to cancel or decide.
  • Rebuild one live campaign page. Take an ad you already run and build its landing page from a template, so you're judging the editor on real work.
  • Build the mobile version as well. Several reviewers say mobile layouts take extra work in the editor, so find out in week one.
  • Invite a teammate or client to comment. Visual collaboration is on both plans, and some reviewers credit it with faster client turnaround.
  • Connect your CRM or email tool and send a test lead through the form, so you know leads land where they should.
  • Watch the visitor count. Paid traffic sent to trial pages counts toward the 2,500 cap, and passing it converts the trial to a paid plan.
  • On Optimize, set up one A/B test to learn the workflow. A trial's traffic may be too small for a clear winner, so treat it as practice.
  • Ask support a real question. Support is the most praised part of Instapage in its reviews, and the trial is a free chance to check.

How the Instapage trial ends, and how to cancel it

The trial ends when you upgrade, when your pages pass 2,500 unique visitors, or when the 14 days run out. In every case your card is charged and you move onto the plan you picked. To cancel during the trial, click your workspace name in the upper left, open My Account Admin, then Subscription, and click Cancel Account at the bottom left. Your card won't be charged.

Forgetting costs more after the trial. Once you're on a paid plan, Instapage only cancels when the account owner emails help@instapage.com. Its Terms (section 8.1) say fees are non-refundable, with one exception: a refund policy Instapage may offer to first-time buyers who paid through self-serve checkout. Instapage announced a 7-day money-back guarantee on its blog in 2024, but we could not find it on the current plans page, Terms, or help center, so ask support before you count on it. One unprompted Trustpilot reviewer found out the hard way:

“Signed up for a free trial. Took me three months to realize they'd been billing me.”Jacs, Trustpilot, Feb 2023

How the Instapage trial compares with rivals' trials

Instapage's trial is stricter than some. Unbounce and Swipe Pages run 14-day trials with no card, so nothing bills unless you choose a plan. Leadpages also takes a card but gives only 7 days, and it offers a no-card free account for drafting pages you can't publish. Landingi trials every plan for 14 days with a 200-visit cap. ClickFunnels gives 14 days and adds a 30-day money-back guarantee after the trial, but doesn't say whether its trial needs a card.

If you want to try a builder with no card on file, Unbounce or Swipe Pages is the easier start. If you already know you want server-side A/B testing and team review tools, the Instapage trial is the way to test them.
