Instapage vs ClickFunnels: funnel suite or paid-ads landing pages?
By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · Instapage Reviews · Updated September 28, 2026
These two tools do different jobs. ClickFunnels runs a whole online business: funnels, checkout and upsells, stores, courses, community, email, and a CRM, with unlimited visitors on every plan and a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you sell your own products or courses, it covers ground Instapage doesn't try to.
Instapage is a landing page and conversion tool for teams buying paid traffic. Optimize adds server-side A/B testing and dynamic text replacement, and the Convert plan adds AdMap, ad-to-page personalization, and heatmaps. Contacts are unlimited, and it publishes SOC 2 Type I and II. Entry prices are close ($99 vs $97 a month). Instapage caps visitors, requires a card for its trial, and puts testing on its $199 plan. In our G2 samples Instapage rates higher (4.40 vs 3.63), while invited Trustpilot reviews favor ClickFunnels slightly (4.96 vs 4.89).

ClickFunnels' annual prices are from clickfunnels.com/pricing. Its help center lists different annual totals ($970, $1,970, and $2,970 a year), which don't match the pricing page. Prices in USD.
Instapage vs ClickFunnels pricing: a tie at entry, different limits
Instapage Create costs $2 more on monthly billing and $2 less on annual billing than ClickFunnels Launch. The limits are where they part. Instapage meters unique monthly visitors (15,000 on Create) and gives you unlimited pages, conversions, and contacts. ClickFunnels has no visitor cap but meters contacts, emails, team members, workspaces, and domains, and moves you up a tier as those grow. One ClickFunnels reviewer on G2 put the cost curve this way:
“Costs increase quickly as soon as you need advanced features”Florian M., G2, Apr 2026
If your traffic comes in large bursts from ads, ClickFunnels' unlimited visitors matter. If you build many pages for a steady flow of paid clicks and want every lead kept without a contact cap, Instapage's limits are easier to plan around. Full plan details are on our Instapage pricing page.
Instapage testing vs ClickFunnels checkout and courses
ClickFunnels reviewers praise having everything in one account. One Trustpilot reviewer says moving email, website, and appointment booking into it saves over £100 a month. A G2 reviewer sums it up:
“ClickFunnels is strongest in how it centralizes the entire funnel-building process into one tool”Florian M., G2, Apr 2026
Instapage leaves out checkout and courses and puts its depth into the page itself. Its tests run server-side, which Instapage says avoids a visible flicker between variants. You can set a hypothesis for each test, split traffic however you want, and restore past variants. On Convert, AdMap lays out which ad points to which page, each ad can get its own personalized page, and heatmaps show where visitors click and scroll. ClickFunnels publishes none of those specifics. Its reviewers also point to gaps on the page-building side:
“you can't do a simple query form that would send questions from a client to your email address.”I. Honigman, Trustpilot, Sep 2026
Instapage vs ClickFunnels reviews, compared like for like
Overall scores mostly show whether a company asks customers for reviews, so we compare matching groups. On G2, Instapage leads our samples, 4.40 across 54 reviews against 3.63 across 42. The ClickFunnels sample covers 2016 to 2026 rather than recent months, so it includes complaints about older versions. ClickFunnels' headline G2 score (4.6 across 417, per G2's search listing) is above Instapage's 4.3.
On Trustpilot, ClickFunnels' invited reviews average 4.96 across 46 against Instapage's 4.89 across 35, a small lead for ClickFunnels. Nearly all of ClickFunnels' invited reviews thank a named support agent. Instapage's reviewers praise its support too, on G2 as well as Trustpilot:
“The support that Instapage offer is consistently outstanding”Ethan S., G2, May 2026
Price is the complaint both share. A ClickFunnels reviewer called it “quite expensive for what it is,” and Instapage's unprompted Trustpilot reviews (2.07 across 15) center on price increases, visitor limits, and billing. When Instapage is the better pick over ClickFunnels
Choose Instapage if your pages exist to convert paid clicks and something else already handles your checkout and email. It suits in-house growth teams and agencies that run many ad groups, want each ad matched to its own page (on Convert), need designers and clients commenting on the same page, or have a security review that asks for SOC 2. The trial takes a card and converts after 14 days, so set a reminder if you're only testing it. Weighing other options? See ClickFunnels alternatives or our landing page builder roundup.

Is Instapage or ClickFunnels cheaper?+
At the entry level they cost about the same. Instapage Create is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually. ClickFunnels Launch is $97 a month, or $81 a month billed annually, according to its pricing page. ClickFunnels' help center lists different annual totals ($970 a year for Launch), so check the checkout page before you pay annually. What you get for the money differs: Instapage Create includes 15,000 unique monthly visitors and unlimited contacts, while ClickFunnels Launch has no visitor cap and 10K email contacts.
Can I sell products or courses with Instapage?+
Not natively. Instapage's plans page lists no checkout, store, or course builder, so payments run through integrations such as PayPal buttons. ClickFunnels includes checkout pages, one-click upsells, stores, courses, and community on every plan. If selling is the main job, ClickFunnels fits better.
Which has better A/B testing?+
ClickFunnels says A/B testing is included with every account and covers pages, funnels, and emails. Instapage puts A/B testing on Optimize ($199 a month, or $159 annually), where tests run server-side without flicker and come with hypothesis setting, experiment history, and custom traffic splits. ClickFunnels gives you testing sooner; Instapage publishes more about how its testing works.
How do Instapage and ClickFunnels reviews compare?+
It depends on the measure. In our G2 samples (pulled 2026-09-27), Instapage averages 4.40 across 54 reviews and ClickFunnels 3.63 across 42, though the ClickFunnels sample runs from 2016 to 2026. On Trustpilot, invited reviews favor ClickFunnels, 4.96 (46 reviews) to 4.89 (35). ClickFunnels had only 4 unprompted Trustpilot reviews in the sample, too few to compare.
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?+
Instapage's 14-day free trial on Create and Optimize requires a card and is capped at 2,500 unique visitors. ClickFunnels also offers a 14-day free trial, but the pages we read don't state whether a card is required. ClickFunnels adds a 30-day money-back guarantee after the trial.
