Why people leave Leadpages
We pulled the 50 most recent Leadpages reviews on Trustpilot and 47 rated reviews from G2 on 2026-09-27. On Trustpilot, the 13 invited reviews average 4.92 and the 37 unprompted ones average 1.22. Every critical review in the Trustpilot sample is unprompted. Trustpilot's overall score for Leadpages is 2.2 across 441 reviews.
Billing is the main complaint: annual renewals charged without warning, trials that converted to paid plans, and refunds refused. Next come cancellation, price increases, and the 2026 rebuild, which Leadpages describes as a new product built from the ground up. Some reviewers say the move cost them pages and leads.
“I was charged $488 to auto-renew a Leadpages account I hadn't logged into in two years.”Zak Taylor, Trustpilot (Leadpages), May 2026
“You can't cancel your plan. The docs say something else, but the actual cancel button is missing.”Niemea, Trustpilot (Leadpages), May 2026
“My annual subscription cost has nearly doubled since I first signed up.”Lauren G., Trustpilot, April 2026
“New website builder deleted all previous data, all leads, half of the pages we built, and all of the lead magnets.”Lena Anderson, Trustpilot (Leadpages), Jun 2026

The 4 best Leadpages alternatives
Instapage
Stronger unprompted reviews, team featuresInstapage leads Leadpages on unprompted Trustpilot reviews, 2.07 (15 reviews) against 1.22 (37), and the two are level on invited reviews (4.89 vs 4.92). Our G2 sample favors Leadpages, 4.59 against 4.40. Every Instapage plan includes real-time collaboration and popups, and Create allows 10 team members where Leadpages Grow has no team seats. The trial runs 14 days against Leadpages' 7, though both need a card. At the same $99 list price, Leadpages Grow includes A/B testing, dynamic text replacement, and unlimited traffic; Instapage Create includes neither of the first two and caps traffic at 15,000 unique monthly visitors. Instapage also has renewal and price-increase complaints among its unprompted Trustpilot reviews, so it does not fully fix Leadpages' biggest problem.

If a surprise trial charge is why you're leavingThe 14-day trial needs no credit card, so it can't turn into a charge you forgot about. Starter costs $29 a month ($22 yearly) for 5 pages and 500 visitors, and A/B testing with dynamic text replacement starts on Experiment at $149 a month. Smart Traffic, its AI visitor routing, is on Optimize ($249). Unbounce has billing complaints of its own: its unprompted Trustpilot reviews average 2.31 (36), with charges after cancelling and refused refunds among them, and every plan caps monthly visitors.
Unbounce vs Leadpages comparison →Landingi
If price increases are why you're leavingBuild costs $24 a month yearly ($29 monthly) and includes dynamic text replacement. A/B testing starts on Optimize at $119 a month yearly. Its unprompted Trustpilot reviews average 4.65 (48), though 38 of those date from 2018 and 2019. The caps are tight: Build allows 10 active pages and 2,000 visits a month, where Leadpages has no traffic cap. G2 reviewers often have to rebuild mobile layouts by hand, and one Trustpilot reviewer was billed $5 a month per extra domain after cancelling.
Instapage vs Landingi comparison →Swipe Pages
No-card trial and fast mobile pagesStartup is $29 a month annual ($39 monthly) with 20,000 visitors, and Marketer adds A/B testing at $69. The 14-day trial is full-featured and needs no card. AMP pages, Mobile Slides, and checkout come on every plan. Before you switch, note that its terms say no refunds and all sales are final, Trustpilot has suspended its rating for a guidelines breach, and recent reviews complain about slow support and trouble cancelling.

When to stay with Leadpages
Leadpages is the only builder here with unlimited traffic on every plan and no overage fees. Grow includes A/B testing and dynamic text replacement for $99 a month ($79 annual), and Optimize adds heatmaps and Smart Traffic for $199. HTML Pub, from $10 a month, covers publishing only. Leadpages also says existing customers keep their account and price after the rebuild. If your traffic swings, or your plan still runs at an older price, staying may cost less than any move above. Its invited reviewers like the templates and support.
“Lots of beautiful templates and great customer support.”Ramona Borg, Trustpilot (Leadpages), May 2025
If renewal surprises or the rebuild are why you're leaving, Instapage has the stronger unprompted record of the two, but check its renewal terms before you sign. Some of its unprompted reviewers report the same problem.
“auto-renewed a lock-in 12 month contract without sending any reminders”Luke Bradley, Trustpilot (Instapage), Mar 2023
